Community Animal Wellness
Every year, PAWS facilitates the adoptions of hundreds of animals in Washington County and beyond.
It can be heartbreaking to lose a companion animal. PAWS provides a safe place for animals until their owner is located, and we also amplify lost animal notices on our social media.
Every year we support animal wellness through our clinics, which provide spay, neuter and wellness services at reduced or no cost.

Socialization
Sometimes, animals can be adopted faster if they are in a rescue in a high population area. We have partnerships with other rescue organizations that have similar values and screenings for their adopters.
Many of the animals that enter our care have limited trust in humans. Between foster care and enrichment activities, we provide predictable routines and love to help these animals learn to trust. We are patient with our animals, allowing them as much time as they need to be ready for adoption.
Trap, Neuter and Release
Washington County has many cat communities. We have a long standing TNR program to help these animals be healthy and safe.
